WELCOME !

Welcome friends, old and new, known and unknown! It has been my desire to share with you how the Lord is working in my life as I serve the Lord on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. There is an old black and white movie called The African Queen. It is about a boat that travels down river. This blog is not about a boat. It is however, about my travels on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. By the way, did you know that my name means queen. For many years I have been burdened for souls in Africa. That is why some of my friends call me African Queen.

Footsteps of Faith Easter 2017

On the weeks leading up to Easter,
the Footsteps of Faith kids memorized Bible verses and songs
to share with the congregation on Easter Sunday.

Our Theme this year was,
"Yes! Jesus Loves Me!"

The program started with the children reciting John 3:16.

Then the littlest children sang Jesus Loves the Little Children.

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us,
 in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.

The children then sang the following song in a round-

Matthew 28:1-6
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward
the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene
and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
And, behold, there was a great earthquake:
 for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven,
and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
And the angel answered and said unto the women,
 Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Song: Christ Arose

John 11:25
 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live
:

Song: Christ the Lord is Risen Today

I Corinthians 15:3-4
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again
 the third day according to the scriptures:

Song: Jesus Loves Even Me

Isaiah 53:5-6
But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Song: Wounded For Me

Acts 1:11
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?
this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

We made matching head bands as gifts for the girls
and William, my brother, made origami birds for each of the boys' pockets.

The View From The Car

The other day I was looking at some pictures
 I have taken over the last few months.

I thought you might like to see some of the things
that I see everyday as I drive around Kabwe.

Come take a drive with me!
Drive out my front gate at my house
The bumping dirt road that leads to the main road

Stores on the side of the road

Marketeers, ready to sell you anything you need, or don't need
Ladies carrying carrying their babies, tied to their back
Men pushing carts full of veggies to sell at the market.
Women with things on their heads

Properties with dams full of water

Beautiful skies
