WELCOME !

Welcome friends, old and new, known and unknown! It has been my desire to share with you how the Lord is working in my life as I serve the Lord on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. There is an old black and white movie called The African Queen. It is about a boat that travels down river. This blog is not about a boat. It is however, about my travels on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. By the way, did you know that my name means queen. For many years I have been burdened for souls in Africa. That is why some of my friends call me African Queen.

Beginning My Journey

At the end of March I began my journey into full-time deputation. While starting this trek of faith, the Lord directed me to a verse that will help me through each step. Psalm 62:5 says, "My soul, wait thou only upon God: for my expectation is from Him." At the beginning of every new chapter in our lives we form personal expectations of how things will come about. As I started my deputation journey I have strived to rely only upon the Lord for timing, wisdom, and guidance. As I face each day of phone calls, emails, and scheduling of meetings I have desired to allow the Lord to direct my paths. My only expectation during this chapter of my life is that the Lord will be in it because He is the one who has already gone before me and directed my path.
