WELCOME !

Welcome friends, old and new, known and unknown! It has been my desire to share with you how the Lord is working in my life as I serve the Lord on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. There is an old black and white movie called The African Queen. It is about a boat that travels down river. This blog is not about a boat. It is however, about my travels on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. By the way, did you know that my name means queen. For many years I have been burdened for souls in Africa. That is why some of my friends call me African Queen.

HE IS ALIVE!

John 11:25 "Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"

Let us give praise to God for sending His only Son to die for us that we might live for Him! Praise the Lord, we get to celebrate and share with others everyday that - "He is risen"! Is He alive in you today? I am constantly reminded by the Lord to take advantage of each day I get to live for Him. His Word is also alive and because of that speaks to us everyday in every situation. Thank you Lord for ALL you have done for me. Please use me, as I live for Your glory.

Headline News: INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

The radio, newspapers, and television are full of gimmics & concerns for each of us to invest in the future. Some have good advice to help you conserve electricity and to be a good steward of what God has given you. Others are full of schemes to make you feel like you are nothing unless you send your money to them.
In the Bible, God instructs us to invest in the future.

I Peter 1:4 "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,"

Our missions conference ended at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the thought "You can take it with you!" There is only one thing that we can take to heaven with us when we die and that is the "Investments" that we have made.
Matthew 6:19-21 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
If you have any financial investments, then you know that you have time and money involved in them. You take time to read about that investment, to pray that the Lord would bless you with wise decisions on your finances, and sometimes you even meet with an investment advisor. Compare that with how much time you are spending on spiritual "investments". Do you pray over them, search Scripture about them, listen to Biblical preaching & teaching about those investments? Remember, people are the only investments you can take with you! INVEST TODAY!!!!

Travel Journal: April 2-6, 2011

Isa 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!"

Wow, these last two weeks have been great and I have seen the Lord's hand and handiwork everywhere. As you can see from the above pictures, I have traveled from warm & sunny Florida to the cold & snow capped hills of northern PA. What a differance! I'm cold!!!!!
This week I am one of the missionaries at a mission's conference at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Tioga, PA. The Lord has greatly blessed our meetings so far with record attendance and 3 people saved on the first day.
One of the ladies who was saved is a 22 yr. old girl. Her friends were talking about church on Saturday night, so they all came together on Sunday morning. As they were leaving, I was able to greet her. You could tell that she was hungry for hope in her life and answers that only come from God. I asked her if she was saved and she said, "I think I did that a long time ago." She was a good listener, but thought she might already be saved. I asked her to think back in her life and to ask herself if there was ever a time when she realized that she was a sinner and that she needed to be saved and if she has ever trusted Christ as her Savior. We encouraged her to come back that night.
She came in as service was starting that night and I leaned over to a friend and said,"This girl is searching, lets talk to her again after service and see if she would like to be saved". After songs I took the children downstairs to children's missions class. The Lord really used the message that the missionary preached that night and people went to the altar. After service we had fellowship and refreshments. So, I came out of the children's class to get my friend so we could talk to that lady. Before I got to her I found out that the girl, that I was burdened for, went to the altar & received Christ as Savior. What rejoicing I had in my heart!
It is refreshing to see people hungy for God's Word & to see a soul that you were praying for saved. Please pray for her and her friends as they strive to live for God.
