WELCOME !

Welcome friends, old and new, known and unknown! It has been my desire to share with you how the Lord is working in my life as I serve the Lord on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. There is an old black and white movie called The African Queen. It is about a boat that travels down river. This blog is not about a boat. It is however, about my travels on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. By the way, did you know that my name means queen. For many years I have been burdened for souls in Africa. That is why some of my friends call me African Queen.

Another Broken Bone

My first day off and my brother was here!!!
I was excited to take William to the city to let him
see a different side of Zambia,
plus I had a long list of shopping to be done.

William and I shopping

Well, God had other plans.
Wouldn't you know, that within the first hour of being out at the stores,
I BROKE MY TOE!!!!!

Poor William!
I drove us to the emergency care hospital
and there we spent the rest of our day off.

When they discharged me,
I had to drive the two hour drive home with a throbbing foot.
William helped me so much during this time.
He even carried me to the kitchen and sat me on a chair,
so I could tell him how to make dinner.

Now that I am healed, it makes me laugh,
but during that time, I just wanted to cry.

Because I work with preschoolers,
I had to find some kind of armour, to protect my little toes
from their, heavy, clunky school shoes.
So, I wore this special boot pictured below.

It is amazing how God made our bodies!
My toe is still crooked.
Every time I look down at it in disgust,
I am reminded that God has His own plans.

Teaching with my armour on

Isaiah 55:8

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.

COMING SOON!!!!

On Monday, March 6, 2017 I plan to start updating this blog once a week.  Our accessibility to the internet, here in Zambia is limited, but I hope to try to at least share something each week with you.
Thanks in advance for caring about me and the ministry here in Zambia!
