WELCOME !

Welcome friends, old and new, known and unknown! It has been my desire to share with you how the Lord is working in my life as I serve the Lord on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. There is an old black and white movie called The African Queen. It is about a boat that travels down river. This blog is not about a boat. It is however, about my travels on the mission field of Kabwe, Zambia. By the way, did you know that my name means queen. For many years I have been burdened for souls in Africa. That is why some of my friends call me African Queen.

Ice Cream SUNDAY

I don't know about
you, but Fall is my
favorite time of year.

I love the crisp cool mornings,
all of the food the harvest brings to my table
(pumpkins, squash, corn, apple pie, ...),
wearing a sweatshirt & sipping a nice hot cup of tea.

The other week I sent my friend in Zambia a message.
I told her that I will be coming at the end of October
and asked what she thought I should bring.
She said, "bring something cool to wear, the weather in Zambia is hot!"

In Africa, this time of year brings heat and a busyness as they go into Summer.

The missionaries I will be serving with, Adam & Carol Rich,
have reported to me that the church in Zambia is running high in attendance.

Pastor Rich said, "We averaged 405 for the month of August,
with 50 first time adult visitors, and 17 saved! "

So as the temperature rises, so does the attendance - PRAISE THE LORD!!!

They had a special Sunday in August called "Ice Cream Sunday".
Everyone in attendance got some ice cream (definately a Baptist church!!!)

Here are a few pictures that they have shared with me
from the church in Zambia.
